Get Radiant Looking Skin with a Hydrafacial

There are skincare products everywhere. From magazines to grocery stores to gas stations, and on TV. Our society has become obsessed with skincare, but do you find things that actually work? Many people try tons of different products from exfoliants to creams to serums all to still be left with damaged, acne-prone, aging skin. But if you want to improve damaged skin to bring out the beautiful skin underneath then you should try a Hydrafacial! Dr. Kayastha offers the Hydrafacial at K Plastic Surgery to help his patients revitalize their skin.

What is a Hydrafacial?

Hydrafacial is an amazing way to bring out your radiant skin. It uses water as an exfoliating medium that not only helps to cleanse the skin but also retains the skin’s moisture. It is a three-step process that helps to clean and exfoliate, extract and hydrate, and protect the skin. This is done with a small vacuum-like tool. The technician will run this over your skin slowly while it gets rid of the debris from the pores by suctioning it out and then hydrating the skin at the same time. The Hydrafacial tool is also putting antioxidants and peptides into your skin during treatment to optimize the protection and keep your skin glowing. To make this treatment even more customizable, different add-ons or boosters can be incorporated to target your specific skin concerns even more closely

How Does Hydrafacial Work?

To start off your hydrafacial treatment, your skin will be cleansed and any makeup will be removed. Since this treatment is completely painless there is no need to apply a topical anesthetic. The Hydrafacial treatment will begin. The device uses three actions that help to rejuvenate the skin. It uses physical exfoliation from water pressure along with a textured tip on the tool. Chemical exfoliation from the use of acids like glycolic and salicylic. It also uses suction to lift dead skin cells and  impurities from the surface of the skin. During treatment, the water-based solution with be blasted onto the skin to breakup the dead skin cells. Then, using the spiral suction tip, the dead skin cells and debris are lifted from the skin. After this, a chemical peel solution is delivered in the same manner, this increases the depth of exfoliation. The final steps of this treatment include delivery of serums that are customized to your skin. In total, the treatment takes about thirty minutes from start to finish. It will leave your skin clean, moisturized, and healthy looking.

When Will I See My Hydrafacial Results?

Most of our clients notice a change in their skin immediately following the treatment. The results last for about a week on average but can last longer. We recommend patients get monthly Hydrafacial treatments to improve the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and brown spots. To maintain overall skin health, repeat treatments are recommended.

Should I Get a Hydrafacial?

Our skin has building structures that help it to start taught, smooth, and moisturized. These structures are called collagen and hyaluronic acid. As we age, our body slows the production of these two structures. In fact, after the age of 20 people lose about 1% of collagen per year. This is what causes our skin to appear aged and damaged. If you have sun-damaged skin, acne issues, dead skin, clogged pores, or other skin concerns, then the Hydrafacial can do wonders for you. Dr. Kayastha is a board-certified plastic surgeon who provides many skin and hair treatments to his patients who need some rejuvenation. The Hydrafacial can benefit any skin type, even if you have super sensitive skin. Plus, you won’t have to wait to see if it works because you will be able to notice results immediately. The tone and texture of your skin will be transformed.  You can do this as a solo treatment for a big event or repeat it in order to keep your skin looking amazing. This versatile facial was made to benefit you.
