Three Non-Surgical Treatments You Can Do Today to Prepare for Swimsuit Season

The summer months may seem far away, but at our practice we encourage clients to take advantage of the autumn and winter to get ready for swimsuit season! The colder months are the perfect time to heal and recuperate from the treatments. Plus, sun exposure, which can negate the effects of the procedure (particularly laser treatments), is also minimal during this time of the year.

1. VNUS closure procedure for varicose veins

This treatment is an excellent alternative to traditional vein-stripping surgery for reducing the appearance of leg veins. The affected veins are closed through a tiny catheter delivering radiofrequency (RF) energy. The veins are heated, which causes the walls to shrink and ultimately close the veins. Blood flow is re-routed to unaffected veins. With this procedure, you can wear your swimsuit with pride without worrying about unsightly veins.

2. Fraxel for scars and hyperpigmentation problems

If scars and the appearance of brown spots could keep you from wearing your favorite swimsuit once summer kicks in, you might want to have Fraxel this winter. Unlike traditional skin resurfacing procedures, Fraxel utilizes laser technology that doesn’t destroy the healthy surrounding tissue.

3. Acleara for acne

Acleara is an FDA-approved procedure designed to resolve cases of acne that do not respond to standard treatments such as over-the-counter medications. By the time the summer months arrive, your face will be free of acne after having Acleara. The treatment’s ability to reduce pore size for a smoother look is an added bonus!

Do you still have questions about the aforementioned treatments to make you swimsuit-ready? Call 518.346.0002 to schedule an appointment with us today. Our offices are conveniently located in Latham and Albany.
