Cellulaze: A Unique Approach to Treating Cellulite

Cellulaze: A Unique Approach to Treating Cellulite

Cellulite is a problem for as much as 85% of women. There is no shortage of cellulite treatments out there, but most of the time patients aren’t happy with the results. At K Plastic Surgery, we offer a revolutionary method to treat cellulite called Cellulaze. Here’s what you need to know about this innovative technology and how it obtains superior treatment results.

What is Cellulite?

The appearance of cellulite can be attributed to several factors — the aging process, changes in hormonal levels, genetics, and significant weight loss. Cellulite forms when the connective tissue bands found beneath the skin stiffen because of these factors. As a result, surrounding fat cells are squeezed between the connective bands and pushed toward the surface, creating the “cottage cheese” or “orange peel” effect on the thighs and buttocks areas.

Even if you exercise regularly and watch what you eat, you cannot control the factors that cause cellulite to appear. What you can control is how to treat it. Topical treatments and non-invasive laser cellulite treatment are available, but these methods don’t always yield the best results. At K Plastic Surgery, Dr. Kayastha relies on Cellulaze for effective cellulite reduction treatment.

What is Cellulaze?

Cellulaze is an FDA-approved cellulite treatment that uses minimally invasive methods and laser technology to target cellulite at the source. The treatment only requires local anesthetic and a few tiny incisions in the thighs or buttocks area. A probe is inserted under the skin so that the laser-generated heat can accurately break apart tightened connective bands and target fat buildup. The laser energy also stimulates collagen production to plump the skin for combined firming, smoothing, and toning to improve skin texture. Although there will likely be some bruising and swelling around the incisions, these are minimally invasive treatments and patients can resume most normal activities within 1-2 days.

What Makes Cellulaze Different?

Most cellulite treatments focus on the problem on a superficial level, above the skin only. Massages and creams are among the cellulite treatments available and they don’t always work for some women. Cellulaze is different; it attacks structural problems under the skin and is the only cellulite treatment that directly targets tightened connective tissues.  Because it works beneath the skin, Cellulaze may also work better than QWO or microneedling for women with severely dimpled skin.
