The Story of Siena College
Siena College was founded in 1937 by Franciscan friars who wanted to create a college that would help people grow in knowledge and kindness. The college started small, with just a few teachers and students, but it grew quickly. Even during tough times like World War II, Siena kept its doors open and welcomed students from all walks of life. Over the years, the college added more buildings, new programs, and became co-educational in 1969.

How to Get to Siena College
Getting to Siena College is easy, no matter which direction you’re coming from:
- From the North: Take I-87 (the Northway) south to Exit 5 (NY 155), turn left on NY 155, then right onto Route 9. Siena will be on your left after about two miles.
- From the South: Take I-87 north to Exit 23 (I-787), follow I-787 north to I-90 west, take Exit 6 (US 9 North to Loudonville), and follow Route 9 north for about two miles. Siena will be on your right.
- From the East or West: Take I-90 to Exit 6 (US 9 North to Loudonville), then follow Route 9 north for about two miles.
The address is 515 Loudon Rd, Colonie, New York. There’s plenty of parking, and the campus is easy to walk around once you arrive.
