How can my facelift be customized?
Traditional Facelift:
The facelift procedure can be customized depending on the extent of your excess skin and tissue. In a traditional facelift technique, incisions are placed in the hairline at the temples and continue around the ears to the lower scalp. Excess skin can then be removed and the tissue in the mid/lower face is lifted to smooth out wrinkles and address sagging.
Mini Facelift:
With a mini facelift, incisions are shorter and made at the temple, continuing around the ear. This technique can be used for patients with mild degrees of skin sagging and signs of aging.
Extended Facelift:
An extended facelift can be performed to include a neck lift and achieve full facial rejuvenation. During this technique, traditional facelift incisions are made as well as neck lift incisions around the earlobe and behind the ear. Excess skin can be removed and the tissue in the face, jowl, and neck area are lifted.
