The Adirondack Sports Complex, known to locals as “The Dome,” is like a giant playroom—where people of all ages come together to run, play, and compete, no matter the weather outside. Whether you’re a soccer superstar, a little leaguer, or just someone looking for active fun, “The Dome” welcomes you with open doors and bright lights.
The History and Story of The Dome
The Dome was built in 2004 by Doug and Teresa Miller, who saw that kids and families in the area needed a place to play sports year-round without driving far away. This huge indoor bubble quickly became the go-to spot for local teams, tournaments, and special events. Despite setbacks like a roof collapse after a heavy snow in 2020 and challenges during the pandemic, the Millers kept it running as a true community hub.
In 2024, Afrim’s Sports—a company known for other indoor sports facilities—took over the Dome, promising to keep it as a center for play, training, and fun. Today, it’s still dedicated to soccer, baseball, lacrosse, flag football, field hockey, golf, and hosting camps, clinics, and even dog shows or trade events.
